Planning for Edupoint Implementation

The OSIS Consortium Steering Committee is currently engaged in negotiations with Edupoint and expects to reach agreement on a contract within the next few weeks. While specifics of the contract and negotiations can’t be shared at this point, we will provide pricing, resources, and timeline information as soon as possible so that each district that intends to convert can plan for the costs that will be associated with conversion.

Districts can assume that the first year of implementation will be the most expensive but system expenses will average out to a reasonable cost per student over five years.

Costs that must be considered are:

  • Licensing, implementation and maintenance
  • Hosting – as an individual district, part of an ESD or other district group
  • Current or new district personnel costs assigned to the conversion and training activities
  • Project management costs to be sure the project is moving forward to meet specific deadlines
